Wells was a child prodigy and the youngest student ever to graduate from the
Swedish Academy of Music in Stockholm. He was the first artist ever to play
at Stockholm´s grand Royal Castle.
His Rhapsody In Rock concerts have drawn packed arenas in China, Russia,
Australia, Japan, Germany and Sweden, and he has repeatedly sold out the
Royal Albert Hall.
In concerts around the globe Wells has collaborated with world famous artists
and symphony orchestras.
The concerts have been seen by millions of people, broadcast in the U.S. on
PBS and to over 800 million in China via state run CCTV. He was the
composer for the Olympics in Beijing in 2008.
His CDs and concert DVDs are bestsellers, with a string of gold and platinum
records to his name.
In 2005 Robert and his Rhapsody In Rock were awarded ‘best public event’ in
Sweden.
Wells was appointed Professor of Music at The Zezhyang University for
Culture and Media in Huangzhou., China in 2006. He has just started his own
web based piano school, King of Piano.
At the beginning of November 2010, Wells released his first classical solo
album, Close Up Classics, where he plays piano music by Liszt, Chopin,
Beethoven, Stenhammar, Grieg, Rachmaninov and Debussy.
Robert Wells will perform at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday 28th November,
with special guest artists including The Vocalettes, ex Deep Purple legend
Glen Hughes, classical boy band sensation Blake and charismatic tenor, of
‘Go Compare’ fame, Wynne Evans.
